hullo blogging world! As I return to you from an extended break, I come with fresh thoughts for used things. Occasionally I begin to become restless in my house . I start desiring to move decorations around or just do something new and fresh. Neither my hubby or my bank account like this phase . In efforts to fight against it, I bring you fresh uses for old things. This week we will go through a few rooms and uses for things that you most likely already have lying around somewhere. These thoughts are begun by Real Simple Solutions. Let’s begin in everybody’s (or maybe just mine) favorite room- the kitchen! We eat, drink, socialize and chill in this room. Here are a few thoughts :
-Wine bottle/cork
- Use a wine bottle for bookends. The can be empty or full, but they will for sure be stylish and having your guests impressed.
- Use a cork to store stud earrings in to avoid losing them in the bottomless pit that is your traveling bag (or maybe that’s just mine…)
- Fill an empty wine bottles with special sauce, dressing or cocktail mix as a favor to your guests!
-Uncooked Spaghetti
- Uncooked spaghetti can keep plastic/cling wrap from messing up the frosting on a cake. Simply push a piece into the top of the cake.
- Use a piece of spaghetti as a book mark in your cookbook! Mark all your favorites so you can flip them open quickly!
- For hors d’oeuvres. Put some cherry tomatoes, cheese, basil…mmmm. Crowd pleaser for certain
-Colander
- as a bug tent to keep flies from burgers, etc outside.
- wash your delicates in them!
I hope these ideas help give you a fresh pep in your step and home. Also try these houses on College Station Homes or Round Rock Houses ! Love, Jenn, the Cortiers Daily Blogger
